In his presentation he demonstrated a new digital pen which can record live information and then transfer the text onto paper or a wall chart. This is a excellent new item which would enhance your meeting and presentation.

Here is a Gallup poll that shows more hope for the economy. -

By 22% to 8%, more U.S. small-business owners expect to increase than decrease the total number of jobs at their company over the next 12 months, according to a new Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index poll conducted Jan. 9-13, 2012. This 14-percentage-point advantage for expected job growth is the largest since the +15 of January 2008, suggesting small-business owners are more optimistic about hiring now than at any time in the past four years.

Digital Pen & Paper Solutions Demonstrated at Somerset Hill LeTip Meeting

If you attended the February 10, 2012 Somerset Hills LeTip Meeting then you saw a demonstration of a number of innovative and easy to use digital pens solutions for your business. We first had a look at PaperShow for Teachers which was used to drive the PowerPoint slide deck and make the presentation more interactive by allowing the presenter to annotate on top of the slides. Following this the group had a chance to see how you could go directly from a filling out a paper form to a transcribed Microsoft Word document by simply docking the digital pen into the USB docking station. If you have a business that processes a lot of forms and need a quick and secure way to enter the data then speak to me about this easy to use solution. Lastly, we had a chance to look at Quartet Kapture and easy way to save all ideas that have been generated and recorded from a flip chart. Just imagine how great it would be to be able to capture all those great ideas from a flip chart and email them to the participants as a PDF file after the session is over. No need to worry about ever losing those great ideas from your brainstorming sessions. Sterling Horticultural is designing a garden space for “Mansion in May”

Susan Olinger, of Sterling Horticultural Services, a full-service landscape firm, is designing a garden space for “Mansion in May”, Morristown Hospital’s fundraising event. This event showcases both landscape and interior designers. The photos show the garden space to be designed, and the view of the mansion from the space.

The garden will be titled “The Lady’s Garden” and will feature the existing ancient sculpture, as well as additional statuary, a fountain, fieldstone wall and bluestone patio and pathways. Plants will be chosen from a palette of green and white, creating a cool, serene and meditative ambience.

Jobless rate at 3-year low as payrolls surge

The United States created jobs at the fastest pace in nine months in January and the unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to a near three-year low, Nonfarm payrolls jumped 243,000, the Labor Department said on Friday, as factory jobs grew by the most in a year.

This is a good time to be thinking about whether your paying too much in real estate taxes. The filing deadline is April 1, 2012. The process is not complicated but the first step is to understand what the market value of your property is, and whether you have the cause for a successful appeal. A lawyer can’t help you with the market value of your property only an appraiser is qualified to value your property and provide expert testimony before the county tax board or at State tax court. If it is a simple residential property you may not need legal representation. A commercial property may require legal representation, especially if it is corporate owned. Robert F. Heffernan & Associates has 40 years of experience in property valuation and tax appeal procedures. It can take as much as a month sometimes to complete an appraisal of your property, especially the more complex the assignment. So my advise is to take a look at your real estate tax assessment or call a professional today if you feel you may be paying more than your fair share. The longer you delay the less likely it will be to accomplish all that needs to be done before April 1st.
