Well, after Hurricane Irene came to visit us and then a tropical storm made its presence known the week afterwards, you absolutely know whether you have a water problem at your home or business.  Sump pump failure questions on your policy do not necessarily mean whether or not your sump pump crashed and burned.  It more likely was framed around the power failure most of us experienced and the subsequent failure of your pump.

Most homeowner policies a few years ago did not provide for this type of water loss.  Today they do.  The coverage varies between different companies but generally they can provide for between $5,000 and $15,000 but can be modified up to $100,000.

If you don’t know what your policy provides for, please give us a call and we can review your policy.  We are an Independent Insurance Agent (Trusted Choice) and we represent many different insurance companies.  We can provide for your needs.

    Tom,
I never knew how important my sump pump was until it didn’t work in the flash flood a couple of weeks ago.
